The article is based on the author's bachelor thesis that has been defended in the Faculty of Philosophy of the South Bohemian University in České Budějovice in 2011. The aim of the work was to collect the minor-place names from the cadastral areas of Vlhlavy and Malé chrášťany and to analyse the derivational structure and semantic motivation of these names. At first the article presents a characteristic of selected cadastral areas, written sources and the course of the research. Then the author introduces an organisation of a dictionary of names from his thesis, presents examples of the most interesting names and analyses their phonetic and morphological phenomena. The final chapter deals with three methods that have been used for the classification of minor-place names and presents their results. … celý popis
